Our Christy Hale

It was an honor to speak at the Mazza Museum Conference where I found this treasure by our own Christy Hale.

Mazza owns over 8,000 art pieces by illustrators of books for children. They have most of Steven Kellogg's collection.

If you are in Ohio, make sure to visit the museum and get a tour. The docents are very knowledgeable.

I've heard about this museum and am so happy to know that Christy's work is part of the collection!

Thanks, Carmen, for posting this. The museum rotates their collection and though MAZZA had purchased the piece well before, my work was not on exhibit when I spoke at a fall conference a few years ago. It's fun to know my art is now keeping company with the work of other children's book artists.

This sounds like a great museum. A group from MAZZA was up in Minnesota a few years ago touring the studios of local illustrators and I had the privilege of attending a dinner with all the visitors and illustrators. Such an interesting and interested group of people. Congratulations on being part of their collection, Christy!

I have yet to visit the MAZZA Museum, but they did visit me in my studio here in Minnesota when they were in town. What a dedicated group to children's literature and their makers! Great to see Christy's work!
