This Is Just To Say

Christy,
Another fun rendition of "This is just to say..." and you sent me to the dictionary to look up kitsch! I admire your economy of words.
Hmmm... I am wondering what voice you speak with Christy. I have studio voices that sound similar!
Great words and consonants-- very cutting.
This passes my poetry test of "It must be a good poem because I have to go look up words and think about them".
Okay everyone, I must seem really opaque. Compare the last word of every line with WCW's poem and you'll see what mischief I was up to. Once I got started I couldn't help myself.
Ahhh! Your cleverness went over my head, Christy! Thanks for the clue, and your crafty take on this assignment!
Very clever!
Christy, how ambitious. What an interesting take on the assignment. The bar has been raised for the rest of us.
Ok, now I'm feeling really dumb because I don't get it...
What I did was really lame. I just rhymed every line of my poem with WCW's poem (eaten/cretin, plums/thumbs, in/din, box/mocks) I tried to match each line in syllable count and stress too, all while retaining some semblance of meaning. This is definitely not WCW's purpose, but just some silly hurdles I decided to jump over.
Oh cool! You were a very clever girl:)
Ahhhh! This is the best potato assignment yet. I thought I liked you Christy; now, I know I love you. (maybe one day we will all meet)
You are all too kind.
