I read "Out Stealing Horses" several years ago, when everyone around me loved it. It was good, but did not send me over the moon the way it did for so many. It would be interesting to read it with a search in mind.Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08131575604953515285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-339010711047634783.post-70153719598863664672011-05-20T12:57:46.909-07:002011-05-20T12:57:46.909-07:00Hi David,

For class we are required to read Holes by Louise Sachar and Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Patterson, both were rereads for me. I particurlarly admire the structure and layering of stories in Holes. We've read openers as well as prologues from many, many books. From these snippets I'm building a list of books I want to read.Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09408845654668250300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-339010711047634783.post-31297778085490045242011-05-20T11:33:29.326-07:002011-05-20T11:33:29.326-07:00Have there been any recommended YA or middle grade...Have there been any recommended YA or middle grade novels that you particularly enjoyed?David LaRochellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09146141298496287697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-339010711047634783.post-2260977857482917322011-05-18T11:42:00.125-07:002011-05-18T11:42:00.125-07:00I am not familiar with this title, but love langua...I am not familiar with this title, but love language and its rhythms. Stanford writing classes are pricey but so worth it because of the caliber of students they draw.Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09408845654668250300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-339010711047634783.post-80559833707478669352011-05-17T14:13:55.403-07:002011-05-17T14:13:55.403-07:00I read this years ago, but so long ago I don't...I read this years ago, but so long ago I don't even remember it...I think that's so cool you are taking a novel class.
